A flat deck (single deck) snowskate is constructed from a single board, similar to a skateboard. It has no edges or subdeck, and is controlled through grooves built into the base. Rather than resort riding, it is primarily suited for park riding and street-style environments.

Flat deck snowskates are rooted more in skateboard culture than snowboard culture, and have evolved as a tool for performing skateboard-style tricks in urban winter environments and snow-covered skateparks.
